Weymouth Flyer

Well I’ve heard about those fast trains that run through Tennessee,
I ain’t never bin there, it don’t mean that much to me,
But I’ll tell you ’bout a slow train, the one I love the most,
It’s called the Weymouth Flyer, headed southward to the coast.

There’s one train that’s better than the rest,
Weymouth Flyer,
I’m gonna ride on that ol’ train I love the best.

The train comes down from Bristol, on the Westbury line,
Pulls up at Frome station, close to right on time,
You hop on from the platform, built by ol’ Brunel,
Then head on down to Bruton, Castle Cary and Pen Mill.

From Thornford to Yetminster, and past the Railway Inn,
Chetnole, Maiden Newton, your getting closer then,
Dorchester and Upwey, the end is close at hand,
Next station is the terminus and Weymouth’s golden sands.
